Trixie!

Sam took some cute pictures of little Trixie when he visited Nate and Jessi last weekend. Here is my favorite of her eating dandelions. I know that when the human babies are here, Sam is going to be one go-to guy for the best photos! He is really getting to be a pro!

Dirty Jobs in Corvallis

Well, repairs have started on the sewer system at the little house in Corvallis. We've had an interesting couple of weeks starting out with sewer issues. We had a plumber come out and clean the line to learn that our neighbor has twice as many issues with his line. It also just so happens that we share the same line, so now we are involved. The neighbors place was first on the list and is expected to take a few days to complete both jobs. In order to get to the problem workers had to tear through concrete carport slabs and use vaccum extraction with a BIG truck and hose to get to the problem.



After the neighbor is taken care of we are next to get a brand new sewer line. The one here hasn't been touched since the construction of the house and is showing signs of age.



We'll keep you posted on the happenings as the sewer saga continues. The thing I'm worried about, where is Jennie going to go to the bathroom (which she does a LOT now). Time to break out the buckets?

trixie's new tricksies

We're truly are proud "puppy parents". Our little Trixie is already learning some important tricks. At nine weeks old she now (courtesy of Nate) knows how to sit and fetch (and by fetch I mean she can also return the item and drop it)! Here are a couple of videos of her showing off her new skillz!

But that's not all folks! I am also throwing in a picture of Trixie next to Nate's shoe, as a little size reference. She might weigh a pound.


And finally, at the end of the day (or actually during the day) Trixie likes to have a little rest, especially after all the trick learning! Here's Trixie kicking her feet up (literally) for a little
R & R. (She actually sleeps like this all the time.)

While we had Ruthie home this weekend, we decided to check out this summer's campsite. Here we are at Lake Chelan - Merry Christmas!
Campsites 42 and 43 are next to each other on the hill overlooking the lake. I think they will be great campspots, if the snow melts.

Veggie Flavored Dippin' Dots

Our garden was sprinkled today with a bit of heavenly dippin' dots!


I think the plants will be ok - It might make the veggies taste a little bit like ice cream when they are done growing.

My friend's pygmy nannygoat had babies on Friday, and they were already hopping around by Sunday when I went to visit. So cute! If you listen carefully, you can hear their tiny little bleats.

I'm hot AND skilled!

Thanks to a certain special seamstress from Ruthies Uniforms, I now have an awesome pair of relaxed fit RU jeans. I must say these are the best pair of jeans I have ever owned - check out how HOT I AM!



We also had really nice weather here in Corvallis this weekend, so we decided to take on some yard work. Here I am performing a skill that was taught to me by POPS - rototilling. It's amazing how many skills I have found that were bestowed on me by Dad, every day I appreciate him more!
