Tomato Season

This is the first day I canned tomatoes this year. As always, there are too many to eat and this year they are very big. I like to take their pictures, as if they were my own little ones. I would like to see a picture soon of the great grandeggies. ( Ben and Amy's chickies are now laying eggs!)

You are an inspiration to us all. It is truly an accomplishment to have made it to 30 years and to have overcome so many things together. You have had so many adventures together and raised four wonderful children to thriving adults.

Now they are all grown and have marraiges of their own, and you are still so in love with each other that it inspires us. Congratulations on this milestone in your marraige and here's to the next 30 years; may they be as exciting and filled with love as the first 30.

Thirty years ago today, I married the most wonderful, handsome, fun, giving, calm, capable, humble, strong, cute, smart man in the world - the original superdalgas. I couldn't ask for a better life.

Hi everyone!
I wonder what the newlyweds are up to now?? They should be on their honeymoon in Canada. They sure had fun opening up all of their presents. Especially the basket from Ben, Amy and Ruthie. It was full of such things as soursop, quail eggs, preserved ginseng root, fried pork ears, dragonfruit, lychee nuts, mackerel - all items fitting to the song they sang at the talent show - The Last Supper. If anyone has heard the Ramblin Rex rendition, their version would compete for entertainment and style, if not exact perfection. I think that was my favorite talent, if not the Tarzan Boy dance by Nate, Jessi and Ashleigh! Man oh man, can those kids dance! Does everyone still have the tune in their heads -

Nate and Jessi Wedding Blast!

We had such a good time with our beautiful new family! Jessi is now the new youngest Superdalgas! The wedding was a wonderful event. Thank you Lee, Cheryl, Ally, Lindsay, Ruth, Scott, Dolly, Steve, Johnny, Ruthie, Cam, Geoffrey, Jennie, Ben, Amy, Anna Banana, Andy, Adrianna, Gabe, Ashleigh, Marcus, Jessi's Catering friend, Andrea, Rachel, for all the wonderful help with all that happened. I know I am forgetting someone, because it was such a team effort! Oh yeah - thank you Nate and Jessi for getting married and letting us party all night long! We truly missed those of you who couldn't make it and hope to have a little video of some of the highlights soon. The ceremony was just perfect. It was so good to see all of our kids and Lee and Cheryl's staning up together in support of their brother and sister. Ben's message was just perfect. The boathouse looked absolutely beautiful! Cheryl is amazing. Cam and Gabe played heavenly music, and were so helpful. Ruthie created Jessi's skirt, and pretty much the whole bridal outfit, as well as Nate's suit. Ruth and Scott worked so hard and made and iced the most delicious and lovely three tiered lemon poppyseed cake decorated with marigolds. Dolly and Johnny made the talent show so much fun, as well as were the most helpful kitchen assitants I could have ever asked for. Anna blew me away with her talent. I could go on and on!!! Andy's potato gun made the wedding a blast!!!! How many weddings have a potato gun salute?!! I love you all so much that I can hardly stand it.
