We are here! Right now there are boxes all over, but we arrived safe and sound here in Corvallis, Oregon. We are looking forward to all of the adventures there are to behold around here and to figure out which winery in Oregon has the best blend!
We love you all and want to say thanks to Jim, Gary, Esther, Ben, Amy, and Grammy for helping make this move possible. It really took a family effort to get it all done!
We love you all and can't wait to get settled to have our first set of visitors. We will keep you posted on our happenings!

fun on the farm

Ruthie and I cooked up a fine supper for the family last night. Cold cucumber herb soup, salmon roasted with raspberries, vegetables and pineapple shish kabobs, barley and Uncle Scott brought grilled sourdough flatbread. It was a warm evening out on the patio. A few nights before the sky was lit up with the most unusual clouds that raced across the sky like spears of color. We tried to capture the sight, but maybe we would have done better with a panoramic camera.

hippie times

After a surprise phone call from Papa's friend Mark ( hi Mark! ) I looked up this website about the place that Gary used to live in Oregon. He and Mark built and lived in a treehoouse. I only saw it once, but it was amazing. You can check out the whole scene of the Sixes River folk at this website -

Tyrone, a good cat
Poor Tyrone, our tough beautiful cat followed his buddy Bubba Fang to kitty heaven while we were away last weekend. We think that he met the same fate as Bubba. We will miss him a lot and will plant a tiger lily above where he is now. We think he lived about 13 years or so. It was a good life, filled with adventure.

We sure do like to have visitors here in Entiat! It is especially nice when there is lots to eat from the trees and the garden. This weekend we had a whole slew of relatives! We ate lots of cherries, salads, broccoli, fish, pizza, and homemade soy ice cream. Summertime is really nice!
You should come to see us.

Happy Birthday Geoffrey Carl!!!

This is the day that changed Papa and Mama's lives forever, when a little angel came into our home. He was the sweetest handsomest baby I had ever seen! You still are an angel to me, Geoffey, and we are so excited that you and Jennie will soon be back in the neighborhood! Have a really fun day and give Jennie lots of hugs and kisses. She is the best present ever. ( our presents to you will arrive a little late - sorry! But I hope you like them a lot when they do get there - hopefully by Thursday ) We all love you so much!!
